zzzzzzzz

A fantastic day of sleeping. I sometimes am in awe at my ability to sleep. If only there were a professional sport of sleeping, I think I'd be pretty competitive. I took a magnificent 5 hour nap. I still feel like somehow there is more sleep that I need to catch up on. I don't even know if that makes sense to catch up on sleep or not but to have no guilt for taking that nap was, let me tell you, a joyous experience to behold. And I had the funniest dreams. I can't actually remember them, but I remember waking up a few times and thinking about how creative sleep must make you because of the thoughts and dreams you have when you are asleep. I wonder if there is a link there? Anyways, I'm going to be going to sleep soon so let's continue on.

Brother Hardy taught our lesson today. He is a super hyped up ADD adult that goes a million miles a second, and wears all of his emotions on his sleeve. I can't help but to admire folks like that. I guess cuz they are the exact opposite of me. At one glance he is so brash but at another he is so profound. Anyways, liked his lesson on Christlike service. One thing he pointed out was that when Christ washed the apostles' feet He used the cloth that was wrapped around His own loins, or the one He was wearing. I never noticed that before. We walked through the symbolism of the Passover and sacrament and the sacrifice and service these represent of our Savior. In contrast to his lesson, we had Brother Brown speak in sacrament which is the direct opposite of Brother Hardy who is possibly a more extreme version of me. He is very quiet and admits often awkward in social situations. He stumbles on his words and takes a very long time to get them out. He repeatedly confesses to his discomfort speaking and lack of confidence. Yet, his talk on gratitude was so humble I couldn't help but to receive thoughts and impressions while he was talking. I just find it interesting that neither individual was less or more effective in delivering a spirit felt lesson. It's cool how all types of people are needed and used in the Lord's service.

Well I just spend about 20 minutes of dazing and thinking there which is one reason why these letters take about an hour to write. It is now 1 hour past my bed time. Ha, so I'm going to wrap this up. However, these letters spur some good thought provoking dazing, so I guess that is good.

I look forward to hitting it hard tomorrow. I want to wake up and start every day with a little run and pushups. I challenge you to start this to. Separate from your workout which I encourage you to do some interval weight training, run 1 mile everyday. Fit it in anywhere you can. Bring running shoes and clothes with you everywhere. Just get out and run. One mile. Should take only 10-15 minutes tops. Don't miss a day. I just read this in a running magazine. It was talking about keeping up habits through the holidays but the point was that doing something, no matter how small, is keeping a track record that holds on to our habits. I suppose that reading scriptures is just the same. And then some days, when we are feeling good, we can push ourselves and do a long 5 mile run, or some interval speed training. I think this is pretty typical of life.

So 1) 4am run, 2) call 3) crossfit 4) still need something for Shira (any ideas) 5) call my hot wife!

I love you more than PB loves J.
