Almost forgot

If I were Bond would you be my bond girl?

So I had a pleasant day. I went into work and helped the enlisted move a bunch of shelves. I think if I weren't there, they would have taken all day to get it done. I'm pretty awesome like that! But seriously, I don't know why all the other captains and the NCOIC sit around and literally watch. They could be surfing the internet in the very same room that we were moving huge shelves with 100's of pounds of supplies and do nothing?? And the enlisted were in no hurry either. I wanted to go home and felt it was kind of our duty to all pitch in and get it done. Needless to say, I can see where the lack of productive attitude comes from in the military: higher ranks that sit around and this mentality of finding busy work. If I knew that I would just be given busy work then I would take forever to finish a task too.

Anyways, rant over. I came home then went to lunch. Then I worked out. Got my hair cut. Then I went to the library and read about touring Europe and Italy with kids. Got some cool ideas and am really excited about going to Italy. I hope I don't get too excited and then it doesn't happen. After that went to the James Bond movie and met CPT Reese there and we ate dinner and watched the movie. Typical bond movie, totally predictable and cliche and I liked it. Ate some crab legs and stead for dinner #2 and now here.

Goals for tomorrow: morning run. Pushups/situps in am. Maybe go to woodshop, or go play guitar, or go read in library.

Trying to study a little bit of "come as you are" from conference. I like that idea that we are accepted for who we are and the inherent potential that we have. We don't have to become and be anything different to be accepted by the Lord. He wants us now to come to Him and then He will change us into the potential that He knows is in us.

I need to write these not last thing at night because I get tired and can't think which makes for a boring letter. Nevertheless, I love you more than a fish loves water. Oh, there was an octopus in the movie tonight.

I miss your eyeballs.

Jay Bond
