Half way baby

It's official. Tomorrow is half way (at least half way in my orders). The rest is an easy downhill slope to the end...right? I feel like such a loser that this is so traumatic for me when I talk with soldiers every day that have been deployed for a year or more. Well maybe if they had a family half as cute as mine with a hilarious, drop dead sexy wife, it would be super hard for them too. So...there, I said it.

You know I love goals because goals go on lists and I LOVE lists. So here are the goals I have for part II of deployment: effective tomorrow.

1. Every call counts! Make the few minutes with family the focus of my day because it is probably the most important part of the day. Make sure each person leaves that call knowing that I love them.

2. Scriptures every day for no less than 30 minutes. Starts with prayer. Don't go to bed until it is done.

3. Letter to my lover every day! Because I love my lover and it is a great time to reflect on my day and learn about what you are doing. I love the ways it opens up different communication to each other.

4. Get up at 4AM everyday. Regardless.

5. Exercise everyday (but Sunday) sticking to my plan and track.

6. Follow diet plan (2500 Cal/day or lose 1 lb/wk). Track.

7. Do not use internet - it wastes time. If need it make sure it is really important and get on then off. Spare time is used for guitar, reading, Italian, or good movies

8. Pray daily for charity and forget myself and serve others, starting with my family.

9. Socialize and make time to interact with others. Open your mouth and initiate conversation. Share the gospel like it ain't no thing.

10. Stay away from my room until it is time to go to bed. Be in bed by 8PM.

So there you have it. My goals. Want to join in any of them? I'm grateful to have you on my team. I think we are a good team. I need you in so many ways many of which I don't even know how to put into words but when you're gone I feel it.

I love to work. Some of my favorite parts of my day are working. I like the interaction, the feeling of productivity, the service I give in my profession, the feeling of doing good and being valued. All those are sappy sweet things that I get at work. Today I offered to help CPT Banks with sick call. It was a super busy day and it was fun just being able to jump around and talk to people and diagnosis their issues and triage them to get help (I didn't do a lot of actual treatment today because our clinic is still molding - mild thing, no biggy).

I feel optimistic today and excited about the rest of our time. We are going to look back and say we learned a lot (I hope). I think we learned some things the past 2.5 months, now we can take what we learned and practice them for the next 2.5 months. Go Team!

I didn't pee on anybody's leg today but I did get to talk to you which is lots better than peeing on someone's leg.

I challenge you to watch a truly classic funny movie this week and quote it. I got a bunch from Franks so I'm on it.

So Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night.

Hubby
