stay at home us

Well another day just at home besides taking the kids to school and all that jazz. The snow was kind of mealty which left icy roads this morning and I got stuck pulling out of the school parking lot. only for a moment or two. and then I dropped off my car at the Co-op to get my new tires. I'm pretty excited about them. I walked home in the cold coldness and then didn't want to leave the house ever again. but I did when the kids needed to come home and I also had to pick up my car. I didn't get stuck anymore so that seems to be a good sign.

Mom had gone into lethbridge to pick up some things and the kids and I just were... Yep we just did our thing. Then I realized that it was 1 and Preston had't napped yet so I put him down and Ava and I had a nice warm shower before getting dressed. We were trying to get organized enough to make cupcakes and something happened,,, oh ya dad kept calling and it woke Presty up so he helped us make cupcakes. I wasn't quite ready so I had them put the liners in the pans. They were so pleased with their work and wanted to put them in the oven right away. I had to keep reminding them that we had to wait until the batter was in them so they would actually turn into cupcakes. We did finally get them made and in the oven. Ava is excited to be 4 tomorrow.

Izaac this morning while making his lunch told me that he likes to bring extra corn dogs so he can trade them at lunch for things. like one time when he got chocolate covered chips. he was pretty pleased with himself. I love our little business man he cracks me up with all his schemes.

There is a book fair at school and the kids of course want things so I told them that if they did 5 chores each they could have any book they want. Cora got right to work and Izaac exploded because he didn't want a book he wanted the extra things that they also sell. He screamed, pouted, cleaned a bit, freaked out, made faces, threw himself on the floor, and all that good stuff that he has up his sleeve but at the end of the day ran out of time to actually get his jobs done. He seemed much  happier after dinner when the pressure was off and was very pleasant.(yes I had given him an after school snack) the rest of the night was very pleasant indeed.

Adrien stayed home with Ava who had fallen asleep on my bed after a major brake down because her pants, the ONLY pants acceptable to wear today had gotten some pee on them when she didn't quite make it to the bathroom. she was not impressed that I had her take them off.
And Preston who happily had her sing songs to him for the next 20 min(apparently she timed them) before falling asleep on the couch while watching a show.

Izaac, Cora and I went and helped pack christmas boxes. I thought there were going to be more people there and I could sneak away and put the kids to bed but there was a lot to do so we stayed and got it done. right as we were about to leave Izaac bumped Matthew in the nose and made it bleed. they had been rough housing for awhile now quite happily ignoring all the pleas to stop. I tried to focus on the positive of them helping and all they did to serve others instead of how the night ended I think they were happy with the experience. Cora was having a great time packing the boxes for the kids and knew the ages she was going for and picking out things she thought they would like. It was nice to help out and I am also glad it is out of the living room and my car:)

I miss you dearly and feel like I haven't really gotten to talk to you lately. I just miss having real conversations with you more then the daily routine I love to hear you laugh and make plans and random thoughts with you. I am thankful this month really has sped nicely along. I think Ava's birthday helped with that and the weekend visiting your parents with no school for a few days is all good. Really the kids have exactly one month left in school.WOW! things are getting real!

After the kids went to bed Adrien and I hung streamers and balloons and all that jazz I think she is going to be really excited tomorrow. I am excited for her. no more three year olds for a few months.

I love you so so so so so much, wait did I already say that? Well its true blue. I am super tired and have been having a hard time getting out of my warm bed to get the kids up and ready for school so I really should turn in. so I guess that is what I'll do... I miss you!
Lots of love, from your loveliest me
