So today I woke up to a text that said our house is flooded. Oh, that was from you. So you know about the morning making calls, etc. FYI, check USAA for updates on the claim. Anyways, went to work, said hi, came back, went to the gym, ate some lunch, did laundry, took a nap, folded laundry, tried to do some CE but didn't get far, took a shower, went to dinner, called Bro Catron, emailed Bro Catron, emailed some other folks, read, now it's now.
I don't think I set specific goals for today but I'm sure if I had, it would have been go to the gym, get my laundry done, and be somewhat awesome. I did those things
My new goals are to preserve what's left of our house, sweep my floor, finish my CE, and send my letter for pedo. Also go to the gym and the normal stuff.
My insight is from reading about teaching kids the "whys" of life from lds.org. It just emphasized how important recognizing the Spirit is when you young and it requires help learning what the Spirit is and what it feels like and supposed to do. Parents job is to help them recognize that the Spirit isn't just a nice friend to whisper to them but an essential power that is necessary to receive eternal life. The Spirit has a mission to guide and comfort but also to sanctify and purify. In essence it is the Spirit that allows the Atonement to take effect and it is the Spirit that changes us. Kids also need to have practice just finding everyday moments when the Spirit influences them. Of course I need this practice too, that is one reason i love writing you these letters: it gets me thinking about those things. I would like to get our kids doing the same. Maybe at scripture time we can try having one of them share one way the Spirit influenced them that day and we can start by setting an example and sharing how we felt the Spirit. By repeating that daily they might start to see to look for the small ways they are influenced everyday.
So I'm growing a mustache. It is pretty much out of this world.
Question, I'm starting phase two of my get ripped scheme. Do you prefer lean and cut, or big and muscly?
Okay, off to bed. Love you the most!
Mustachiooooo!!
