Dear Lover Toes,
Another Sunday and wonderful day of just resting and relaxing. Of course you know I slept in to wake up to your call buzzing by my bed. Perfect thing to wake up to. Haven't seen the kids for a couple days so it was great to see them on FaceTime. Also loved getting to go for a morning walk and talk to you, definitely a highlight of my day!
Church was great. Good lessons about standing up for our beliefs even amidst persecution or opposition and lesson on pride. I'm pretty sure I need to read the lesson on pride again and spend some time working on that. Outwardly I think I put on a good face of humility or meekness and sometimes even convince myself to believe I am humble but that's the first sign that I am NOT humble - is when I start thinking that I am. Pride is definitely one of my major weak points and in subtle ways so that it is hard for me to really pinpoint exactly where and how pride is effecting me but there is no denying that it is. This is going to be a topic I believe I will be studying for a while.
Had brunch with the mormon posse then went to the library to "read" but all I read was the back of my eye lids for about 3 hours in their awesome recliners. Then went to the wood shop to get trained on their equipment and am totally excited to go make stuff...any suggestions?
I'm appreciative today that we have the technology to stay in communication. It's such a blessing to be able to see you and hear you and the kids every day. I can't imagine what it was like for all those soldiers deployed for a year or more and only getting to write letters and get occasional pictures. I'm also grateful for the church and church members and the support they bring. It is so amazing to have instant bonds with others and being able to share that deep connection and I appreciated spending some time with them over lunch and talking.
Miss you like Poo Bear misses honey,
Love,
Stinky toes.
